echoes in my memory, you will hear them
A public programme curated by Êvar Hussayni & Sarah Hamed on the occasion of don't worry i won't forget you at FormaHQ
13 June - 10 August 2024

Over the course of the interactive library and exhibition, don't worry i won't forget you, a curated public programme will take place at FormaHQ. Titled echoes in my memory, you will hear them, the series of interventions will allow space for exhibiting artists and other invited practitioners to activate the library format and expand on their work.

A participatory performance conducted by Xece “Khadija Baker” with Azl: Their collaboration brings in the tradition of oral histories that creates space to recite names of the martyred, understand why they are being spoken, and what it means for these lists to be ever-growing. Life on the CAPS, Meriem Bennani’s highly acclaimed science-fiction trilogy, will be screened, and a chance encounter while exploring Peveril Gardens, which looks on the roof of FormaHQ, inspires the collaboration between Sara Rahman and Lydia Ourahmane. Guiding us through the WANAWAL sound archive, Olivia Melkonian’s workshop will bring audiences closer to how sound, archive and resistance can be part of the everyday.

On 10 August 2024, MFA Curating students Elisha Fall and Priscilla Lo, present Rumbles from the Gut, a series of sonic and food interventions, devised in response to the WANAWAL, featuring Êvar Hussayni, Sarah Hamed, Alia Hamaoui, Riwa Saab, Bint Mbareh, Shamiran Istifan and Meriem Bennani.
