Forma is seeking an experienced curator to oversee the successful delivery of our artistic programme during a six-month period. Working closely with the Artistic Director, you will step into an existing programme of commissions, exhibitions, residencies and public events at an exciting point in the organisation's development as Forma undertakes a period of strategic review.
Acting as the central point of contact for artists, partners and the Forma team, you will ensure that production, communications, budgets and timelines remain aligned, enabling ambitious projects to be delivered to the highest standard.
This role is ideally suited to someone with experience working in a contemporary visual arts organisation who enjoys the practical delivery of complex artistic projects as much as shaping the conversations around them. You will be equally comfortable building relationships with internationally recognised artists and institutional partners as you are supporting an artist's first public event at FormaHQ. Highly organised, collaborative and calm under pressure, you will enjoy managing multiple projects simultaneously and taking ownership of the many details that allow ambitious artistic ideas to become reality.
While this is primarily a programme delivery role, there will be opportunities to contribute creatively to the development of exhibitions, public events and artist projects. The successful candidate will bring strong curatorial judgement, excellent organisational skills and a collaborative approach, helping to create the conditions in which artists can realise ambitious work and develop sustainable careers.

Forma is recruting for a permenant Marketing And Comminications This role is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of Forma's marketing and communications while contributing towards how the organisation presents itself. As the organisation has grown, so too has the need for communications that bring these different strands together through a clear and compelling narrative.
Working across digital, print and live events, you'll manage our communications programme from planning campaigns and writing copy to producing newsletters, social media content, printed materials and website updates. You'll ensure our communications are timely, engaging and delivered to a consistently high standard.
Much of Forma's artistic programme is delivered in partnership with galleries, festivals and cultural organisations across the UK and internationally. As a result, this role will regularly work alongside marketing and communications colleagues within partner organisations to coordinate campaign schedules, prepare shared press and marketing materials, manage approvals and ensure campaigns are delivered cohesively across multiple organisations.
Alongside delivering communications, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to Forma's editorial voice, working with colleagues to develop richer stories about our work and helping connect individual projects to our wider mission, ensuring our communications consistently reflect who we are, why we do what we do and the impact our work has on our creative community.
This is a varied role within a small team. One day you may be shooting an interview, the next writing a press release, coordinating marketing for a residency, helping deliver an evening performance, or welcoming visitors into Presse Books. We are looking for someone who enjoys that variety and understands that great communications come from being embedded in the life of the organisation.
This role will suit you if you enjoy working in a close knit team that fosters a supportive environment towards the collective delivery of a project. One where you will be expected to work across multiple projects with varying lead times, and meet deadlines with a calm, ordered approach.
The ideal candidate will have a good balance of editorial, marketing strategy and hands-on experience in the creation of communications materials, and an appetite to learn new skills in relation to the needs of a campaign.
As a key role, the Marketing and Communications Manager would be expected to work from FormaHQ, including evenings and weekends (compensated by time in lieu when appropriate). However some flexible working can be arranged.
